It’s hard to know where to start with this wedding because the entire experience has been such an overwhelming (in a great way) one. Patrick and Devin contacted me many months ago via email to chat about their upcoming nuptials, and within about a couple of weeks we had connected through a FaceTime call (that was a bit shaky on my end I might add), and suddenly, before I knew it the big day was here. It was July 22, 2017 – the day that Patrick & Devin would get married at David’s Restaurant here in Port Dover.
This David’s Port Dover wedding was such an amazing experience for me. I was excited off the hop with Devin & Pat’s sailboat excursion that they had planned for the wedding day, but then to be able to do all of this right here in my home town, laugh so hard at moments that my stomach almost hurt, watch two people that are truly best friends come together in marriage, AND to meet some of the best and most enthusiastic people I’ve met to date… well let’s just say that it was definitely a great day!
Devin & Pat’s outdoor ceremony upon David’s property overlooking the lake was so beautiful. Although the ceremony was briefly delayed due to a passing shower, the sky quickly cleared and the moments of ring exchanges and wedding vows were happening in no time. Their tented reception was decorated with a classic, elegant nautical feel and I really don’t think there was one detail overlooked. But, even more attractive than the beautiful backdrop and wedding vision that came together was the energy of this crowd of people and the unquestionable spark between these two men.
Devin & Patrick, I actually felt sad when I had to leave your reception to head home on your wedding celebration! Of course I was so happy for the way the day turned out and the amazing time we had with you both, but I didn’t want to leave this incredible group of people that I’ve come to adore through this day. The two of you have something really special and it’s so evident by watching the way your family and friends love and admire you so whole- heartedly! I get it… I saw it all day long and by the end of the day I felt just exactly the same as they do. Much love to both of you. Thank you so much for sharing this incredible day with us!
