“Who Moved My Cheese?”

Change is good…Change brings opportunity…Change is inevitable…Change is such hard work…Change is the only constant…If we don’t change, we don’t grow.

If you haven’t read the book “Who Moved My Cheese?” by Spencer Johnson, it’s a really interesting approach and easy to read book about change using ‘cheese’ as a metaphor for what we want to have in life. I read it a long time ago and am probably due for a re-read.

Change is something that I admire and respect. I wouldn’t say that I hate change and I wouldn’t say that I love it. I think it’s good, and hard, and worthwhile. Change excites me and makes me nervous all at the same time. Currently, there is a lot of change going on in my life both on a personal, and on a business front.

I’ve just launched my new website, which I’ve been working on behind the scenes for quite a while now. When you get a moment please feel free to visit the new site (at the same address), www.weddings.weddings.weddings.weddings.weddings.weddings.splashphotography.ca and please feel free to give me your feedback. I’ll likely be tweaking things here and there for a little while, but the general feel and content should stay pretty consistent.

Along with the new website, our packages for weddings and portraits have been upgraded. Yes, that’s right I said portraits! After taking the past year off of portrait work, I’ve made some decisions to attempt to reincorporate a very limited number of portrait sessions per month. However, the main focus for Splash Photography is still weddings as this is my greatest passion in photography.

I am proud to now offer my clients some new products that I’m so excited about. I have new sample items at my studio and will be spending some more time showcasing these items over the coming months. If your interested in seeing some of the options available to fill your home’s wall spaces, please contact me and I would be so pleased to send you more information, or invite you over to take a peak.

On a personal and professional note, my family and I are moving… which means that the location of my business is moving too. We’re not going to be far from where we currently are, but we will no longer be found in Jarvis. Even thought I adore my little town of Jarvis, as of April 29th, 2011 we will be residing in Port Dover. Our new address will be 14 Scott Drive, Port Dover N0A 1N6. My business phone number will remain the same and you can always contact me through email as usual. I am very excited about our new home and my new work space and can not wait to share and make memories here with my clients and friends.

Since attending the annual WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention last month, I’ve been inspired to keep things fresh with Splash Photography, but mostly to be true to myself. I’m hoping to follow through with many little changes in the way I run and organize my business over the coming year. I also look forward to interacting more with my clients (past, present, & future), blog readers, and facebook & twitter followers. To spear-head more of this activity, I’ll be posting and sharing more information responding to commonly asked questions, and I’ll be running some occasional contests that will give me a chance to give out free stuff! Who doesn’t love free stuff anyway!?! The First Contest is for a Free 16 x 24 Canvas Gallery Wrap and the details on how to win will be released tomorrow.

I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH to all of my amazing and beautiful clients, blog readers, friends and family for continuing to support me and be a part of my life and business. YOU make me so happy and I am truly blessed!

Until tomorrow,

Andrea

p.s. I always have to include at lease one picture, so here is one of my adorable little bundle of joy 🙂
