It’s so awesome to be making this announcement to welcome Natasha (better known as Tash) to the Splash team! Tash joined the Splash Photography back in April and has quickly become my right hand girl. I told her the other day that I had a dream she decided to leave and I woke in total disarray lol! Tash has mainly been focusing on post processing work including editing, album design, and some bookkeeping since she’s been working with us. She also has been out to assist on shoots and plans to do more in the coming year.
I wanted to take a few moments here to introduce this lovely, sweet, smart and beautiful girl who has quickly become responsible for bringing balance back to my life. Tash is a strong, resourceful, positive and incredibly kind person. She pays so much attention to detail, and shares great insight on topics I struggle with. Although I’ve known Tash for many, many years as one of my sister’s best friends in the world, I’ve been blessed to get to know her and have grown to love her so much as my own friend and confidant. I trust her wholeheartedly and truly feel as though she’s become part of our family.
Although I don’t think Tash ever really anticipated working for a Photography Studio in the way she is, she seems to have fell right into it. She comes from a Landscape Design background and studied at Fanshawe College in London. About a year ago, Tash expressed some interest in photography and offered to help me out here and there if I ever needed it. I was intrigued by her comments about the importance of editing photos to be sure that they look the best they can. Since this time, and after a few honest conversations, Tash began working for me on a part-time basis. Her hours and tasks have slowly been increasing as time goes on and as her knowledge grows. I am so thankful to know that she will be here to support me when our family grows in March 2013 too!
It’s no real secret that I’m a bit of a control freak, so the fact that Tash has come in and taken all my constant instruction, tweaking, finicking, and pickiness without running and screaming for the door has been a pretty huge deal in my eyes. She takes direction so well and is always open to working on things differently if I ask it. Best of all she thinks I’m funny HA! Or at least she gives me a sympathy laugh here and there – either way I’ll take it 🙂
Thanks for all you do Tash! I’m so appreciative and just adore you. You are truly a blessing to me and to Splash. Of course, we had to get out and take a few photos to introduce the beautiful Natasha, so I’ve shared some below… how could you not love this girl!?!!
