After meeting Monica and Chris only over Skype over the past several months, let’s just say I was feeling pretty excited about actually meeting them in person for the first time on their big day. Although our Skype meetings have always been enjoyable there is much to be said for being in the physical presence of this couple. They are so kind, thoughtful, and just all around lovely!
We surprised Chris by showing up quite a bit earlier than expected (sorry about that by the way!), and shortly thereafter met Monica at her parents home on the Hamilton Mountain. Monica glowed with anticipation and delight about this day. Upon slipping into her gorgeous dress she was simply breathtaking. I admire the sense of calm that both Monica and Chris exhibited throughout the day even despite the unwelcome rain. Their Anglican-Catholic ceremony was perfectly heartwarming and filled with emotion. Shortly afterwards we left the church for some photos. Thankfully Monica and Chris were prepared and had arranged an indoor photo location just in case at the Gage Park Greenhouses. When we finished up at Gage Park we eagerly made our way to Michelangelo Banquet and Convention Centre for a stunning reception and celebration.
Monica and Chris, I really want to extend my sincere gratitude for having me be a part of this special day. Your calm disposition throughout the day was a blessing to be around and I really have enjoyed finally spending some time with you in person!! I can not wait to see what the future has in store for the two of you! Enjoy this peek at your wedding day and we’ll be in touch soon 🙂
