The day was perfectly beautiful! Emily’s smile lit up the room from the moment we entered. Dan glowed with love and happiness. The ceremony took place at the indoor chapel at the Grand Olympia in Stoney Creek with the reception to follow at this grand banquet centre a few hours later. We made our way over to Confederation Park between the ceremony and reception to take some photos. It was a amazing day with perfect weather, the perfect backdrop for photos, and most importantly the perfect couple

It’s been so wonderful to work with these two over the pst year… their a couple that you immediately fall in love with and you know from the first moment that they are genuine loving people that you really feel like you just can’t get enough of. Emily and Dan… I adore the two of you so much together. I’m so grateful to you both for welcoming me into your wedding day and mostly just into your lives.  Have an awesome honeymoon in Costa Rica and we’ll be chatting very soon!

Thanks so much Maria & Jay! I had so much fun with you on Sunday and may have felt a bit of a burn in my thighs on Monday from out hiking up the falls near the end of our time together too lol! So looking forward to September!

It was such a pleasure to get to know all of you better Tara & Rick (and sweet little Jonah too!), not to mention your helpful and kind parents Tara… many thanks for them for keeping Jonah busy while we were getting some of those couple shots! Well I know Melissa’s been patiently waiting for this post… thanks for your patience girl! So without further ado, meet Melissa & George

Although the temperatures this past Saturday were slightly on the cool side, we managed to spend much of our time in the great outdoors at the Quances Dam park in Delhi. It’s a perfect location for wedding photos offering much variety of backdrops and space to roam around. It was a lot of fun getting to know this wedding party and there was definitely no lack of personality and adventure here. Matt & Katie’s friends are pretty much as fabulously fun as they are.

After we wrapped up the photos in Delhi, we made a quick stop on the lake in Port Dover to grab a few more shots on the water and then it was pack to the Port Dover Community Centre for the reception where a great time was being had by all. I think I’d have to say that one of my favourite parts of the day was watching Katie dance with her father just before I left for the evening. The love and admiration between the two of them was breathtaking and beautiful. You can see how proud her parents are of her and their happiness for this day was impossible to miss. As the song came to an end Katie’s dad hugged onto Katie and lifted her right of the ground. I just adored every moment.

Thank you so much Katie and Matt for giving me this honour of being there on your wedding day. I hoped to get this post up before you left for your honeymoon, but I think you may already be gone now… hopefully you will have a chance to view when your in Costa Rica. I wish you every happiness in life and love!

After having the great experience of working with Emilia’s mother in a previous career, it has been such a pleasure getting to know Emilia. She is so kind, genuine, loving, intelligent, funny and a truly beautiful person (much like her mother is). Upon meeting Simon for the first time this week at our engagement session, it became easy to see how these two were drawn to each other. Simon is a perfect compliment to Emilia. You immediately notice he is handsome, gentle and you can sense his kind heart a mile away. The two of them continue to smile at each other endlessly and you can sense the strength of their connection.

Thanks so much to both of you Simon & Emilia, for allowing me this privilege of taking your photos before the wedding, for giving me the chance to spend an evening with you, and for just being you! I had such a great evening with you on Friday and I can barely wait for the wedding!

I must admit that I am totally humbled by the opportunity that Sam & Natalie provided in joining them in Runaway Bay, Jamaica this past week to photograph their wedding. On the morning of April 19th, the palm trees swayed ever so lightly along the ocean front and the fresh scent of the morning promised a beautiful day. The temperature was approaching the late 20′s easily and it was only 10am. The forecast promised a sun-cloud mix with a minor risk of some showers later in the day…. showers that never came I’m grateful to say ! Natalie, her mum Leslie, and dear friend Gail met in the early afternoon at the salon and I eagerly met the three of them there. As the hours passed throughout the day the temperatures grew warmer and the sun’s rays radiated a heat that was almost becoming unwelcome. But, conveniently it was only moments before Natalie & Sam’s late afternoon wedding ceremony that a few fluffy clouds rolled in making the conditions much more bearable for the lovely group of thirteen that had travelled all the way from the United Kingdom to celebrate this life occasion with Natalie & Sam. After 7 years of dating, building memories together, and falling deeply in love this lovely couple finally had their perfect wedding day in Jamaica.

Natalie & Sam, I’m overwhelmed by the gracious gift you’ve given me in getting to know you both. Chad & I are so happy to have shared in your wedding day and we are  feeling incredibly blessed for this opportunity to have met you both and your family. In the heart of being entirely honest, I have to admit I’m a bit saddened upon arriving home because I am not sure when and if I will see the two of you again. I’ve grown to become so fond of the two of you – you are so sweet and obviously crazy about each other! I truly hope that we will be able to keep in touch in the years to come and I look forward to knowing that if and when my family and I make our way to the UK, that there will be smiling, kind and wonderful people there that we can visit – this makes my heart happy  I truly hope to see you again someday… please do keep in touch. Geertje & Richard have chosen to send the donation on their behalf to the Canadian Cancer Society. In Geertje & Richard’s words… “We chose this organization because three of our Opa’s passed away from a type of cancer. Also all round us, and in our church people are effected by cancer.”

Lara was surely busy only a couple of roads over at her parent’s home outside of Simcoe. By the time we had arrived there, all the girls were partaking in finishing touches of the getting ready phase of the day. They looked stunning… every one of them! And then there was Lara, already a breathtaking vision without her wedding gown even in sight. Lara radiates this love and peace from within that makes you just want to spend time in the same room as she is in… and this is on a normal day! But today, on her wedding day, she glowed from the first moment I saw her to the moment I left in the evening. I’ve truly fallen in love with this couple. Only moments after we arrived at Lara’s, her brother stopped in with a delivery from David for his soon to be wife. A gift that brought more joy (some of it in the form of tears), but most of all even more certainty that this day would be perfect.

Lara & David had a perfectly choreographed ceremony at the Emmanuel Bible Church in Simcoe. The ceremony was unique to them, but showcased their tastes and love for each other so sweetly. After the ceremony, the newlyweds were charioted off in one of the largest tractors I’ve ever seen! We took the photos at the beautiful Cranberry Creek Gardens in Lynedoch ON. This location is so enchanting and lovely. A photographer really can’t choose a better place to take wedding photos than this. The time at the gardens flew by and although I would have loved to stay there much longer there were over 200 guests waiting at the Delhi German Home for the newlyweds to arrive .

Lara & David, what can I say… in case there was any doubt, I truly am crazy about you two! I love the way you love each other wholeheartedly and your positive outlook on life. I adore how you both can make those around you feel so important and special. Your kindness and warm hearts are inspiring and I feel very blessed to have come to know you both. I know we will keep in touch in the years to come as I simply can not get enough of you! Have an amazing honeymoon (wherever that ended up taking place?)! Lots of love to you both!
